Q.  What kind of clothes do I need to wear?  Do I need those platform shoes?  Can I wear lotion to class?

A.  Students are encouraged to wear yoga-type clothing that allows the  instructor to see the body's alignment.  Shorts are necessary for climbing the pole (which is
introduced near the end of Level I).  Many students enjoy wearing pants in the beginning of the workout.  Platform shoes are NOT required, in fact, no shoes are
required, but vinyl shoes or boots can make climbing much easier for the beginner.   We ask that no student apply any moisturizer two hours prior to class.  The
poles can become too slick, and that makes the pole a risky venture!

Q.  I haven't worked out in a long time...will this be too hard for me?

A.  No!  The levels are designed to build confidence, flexibility, and strength.  The progression of the moves taught in class are designed to build upon the previous
movements learned.  Very few students come into class with the very specific kind of agility that is used in pole dancing.  Additionally, each student's body is
different, so we teach modifications for moves to adjust for limitations.  RockAngel students have ranged from 18 to nearly 60!  Every woman should have the
chance to feel HOT!

Q.  I'm enrolled at another studio, but I've noticed their "advanced" girls aren't doing those hard moves I see on YouTube.  Will I learn those moves at RockAngel?

A.  We pride ourselves on being able to teach those hard moves, but we want you to remember that our curriculum is designed to build your strength for those
moves.  So you should not expect to jump right into the crazy moves as a beginner, but do expect that your instructors can help you achieve your goals if you are
willing to work hard.  Nadia didn't become a Gold Medalist overnight!

Q.  I took classes at another studio, do I have to start at Level I?

A.  Each case is different, so we perform an evaluation in order to place you in the right class.  Many times, we find that transfer students are in between levels, so
we will put you in a class where you can cover both!  We offer transfer workshops as a "boot camp" to introduce you to our method and techniques.  If you have
several friends who would like to transfer with you,
e-mail us to schedule a workshop for you and your friends!
